leadership is beyond you”

Pivotology
Pivotologist

Pivotology (practical discipline) - The practical study of the heart and one’s behavior arising therefrom.  Pivotology is the intimate understanding of the implementation of our conscious thought processes, including the utilization of our feelings and emotions that arise from these conscious thoughts. It involves that ability to truly comprehend what drives, motivates and even inspires us to making the decision we make. It is the practical discipline of immense decision-making analysis, crossing the boundaries between the heart (that conceives), the mind (that believes) and the body (that manifest what has been conceived and believed) into what can, in reality, be achieved.

Pivotologists -  A professional who focuses extensively on the practical application of the heart and one’s behavior arising therefrom.  Their work involves dissecting, analyzing and understanding the practical application of one’s thought processes, including the utilization of one’s feelings and emotions that arise from these conscious thoughts. The Pivotologist is one that strives to examine the heart in such a manner so as to truly comprehend what drives, motivates and even inspires one to making the decisions he or she makes.  He or she undertakes this practical discipline that involves a deep immense analysis of one’s decision-making processes.  Said analysis requires the Pivotoligist to cross boundaries between the human trinity (1. the heart [that conceives]; 2. the mind [that believes] and 3. the body [that achieves]).  This achievement is created or manifested through a 3 step process - the taking of what began as the intangible conception flowing from the heart, continuing to the intangible or mental state flowing from the mind, to the tangible or practical state flowing from our actions.

“Failure happens all the time. It happens every day in practice. What makes you better is how you react to it."

                                                               – Mia Hamm

“A truely effective coach leads with high self-awareness and emotional intelligence and leverages these qualities for the benefit of each individual team member, the team collectively and the entire organization.

A truely effective coach is one who understands how to design and implement a deliberate operational approach for, and to be executed, by each individual team member, the team collectively and the entire organization, for the sole purpose of maximizing performance in both the competition in the sport but more important the competition in life.

A truely effective coach understands and appreciates the wisdom in how to delegate effectively using clear communication in a stream-lined, seamless manner.

A truely effective coach has the foresight to visualize future problems and implement appropriate, and effective proactive strategies ahead of time.

A truely effective coach understands and appreciates the need for a proper competitive/life v personal/life balance so as to assist individual team member with maximizing performance in both.

A truely effective coach is purposeful and intentional about maximum training and developing of each individual team member for maximum growth and performance.”

These are the attributes and characteristics of a truely effective coach - the least of which involves the outcome of the score … a true coach has a heart and mind which understands that victory nor defeat is derived from the latter not the former, as a result from the growth obtained through the competitive process.

Thought - Leader

Thought leaders are not born … they are recognized as such through years of diligence, discipline, and dedication in the development of one’s skills.  A true thought leader experiences a natural unforced path to leadership and recognition.  This recognition is forged not through self-promotion, but by diligence through working consistently and carefully to hone their craft to a point where it is worthy of significant distinction. This distinction is characterized by humility.

The thought leader’s energy focuses on diligence, skill development and day-to-day commitment without the thought of self-advancement.  As such, the thought leader’s underlying motive is service.  It is upon this foundation that thought leaders become the informed opinion leaders in their field of expertise. This expertise is established through experience and understanding in a field in tangible ways to show others that you are indeed a voice to listen to.
